Astra Superior Platinum

1) Sharpness: Great
2) Comfort: Great
3) Value: Great
4) Availability: Good
5) Country of Origin: Russia
6) Passes “First Shave Test?: Like a Champ!
7) Longevity (# of shaves): More than 3
8) Notes: The first shave with this blade went beautifully. Smooth, sharp, efficient, comfortable. As good or better than the Astra Stainless thus far. As with the other Astra blade, my initial impressions are overwhemingly positive. The subsequent shaves with this blade were equally positive experiences. I found it to be smooth and safe to use, while cutting through stubble efficiently. On par with the best blades I’ve used with the As-D2, and a brand that I would not hesitate to buy again. If pressed, I would say that I might prefer the Platinum blade by the smallest margin over the Stainless.
